New Girl 1x20 "Fired Up"

This week on New Girl we had two situations that could really happen, just newgirlized (I just made that up because that is the only way to describe the ridiculousness that happens on this show).

New Strategy: Spike what you want in life!
Jess got Coach a job as the volleyball coach at her school only to have to fire him from it after she "earns" the job of vice principal ("I like corn on the cob too but I don't paint it all over the walls!"). Turns out he really liked the job, so she has to choose between loyalty to her friend and her job. Just kidding! There are other ways to make budget cuts, like renting out the multipurpose room! I don't know if Jess knew how much work is involved with being a vice principal. It was funny to see her passed out in bed surrounded by paperwork. There are lots of fun situations that could arise with Jess and Coach working together--they have a fun dynamic; it was hilarious watching them cry at the bar together.

Because he's an idiot, Schmidt puts all of his stuff in the store front he's renting out (isn't it in a bad part of town? am I the only one who pays attention to the logistics of all of this?) with no intention of selling anything, but when a guy comes in and wants to buy a lamp, he's happy to cooperate ("The lamp is 100% full price!"). The guy trips and breaks his arm and decides on the spot to sue Schmidt. Don't worry though, Nick Miller's on the case! And Courtroom Brown...can't forget about him! Nick buys a briefcase and wants to prove that even though he never went to law school he's capable of winning a case--the problem is he really isn't. They kind of win buy tricking the plaintiff and his representation. Whatever works!

Happy Linda Cardellini finally left and we can get back to the core characters. "Sister" did not need to last 3 weeks. This show is actually the most ridiculous thing ever, but I love it and will continue to watch it every week.
