Modern Family Gif Highlight: 5x19 "A Hard Jay's Night"

The last time I did this I included like 15 gifs and it took forever (I'm still in school, I don't have forever to derp around and make gifs) so this week I did not gif the Jay/ Claire storyline and only a little of Manny/ Luke. I'm sorry, Jay and Claire are relatively un-amusing on their own, so together that makes a dull storyline.
Phil shampooed in college to pay for his cheer gear
Manny: Potato chips, please!
Whenever Phil and Gloria have storylines together--or even just scenes together--it's comic gold. This week's situation of them working at a beauty parlor for a day was no exception.

Luke wants to go to a party, and Manny would rather stay home for Jay's party. Why? Because Manny was invited and Luke wasn't. Oh 9th grade what a physically, mentally, and socially awkward year.

if only you could here his voice right now

Cam's Dad made them the worst topper ever (made out of soap, to boot). Well maybe not the worst topper ever, but it made Mitch look like a bit of a pansy--which he hates. Soap carvings--I didn't think that was a real thing?
I would officially like Phil Dunphy to shampoo my hair from now on. Where do I go for this service? This guy is a man of many talents: real estate agent, director, shampooer/ psychiatrist. etc.
And Mitch looks like Paul Bunyan! (??)

In an attempt to get rid of the soap thing, Jay gets Stella to bury it in the backyard. Nice try, but aren't we supposed to be honest with our partners? No matter what?
hairdressers know all sorts of secrets

Phil helps Gloria realize that she's not 100% ready to let go of her old life (get rid of her old apartment). These two! It's funny that their significant others are my least favorite characters. I guess that just proves that all four of them have one thing in common: the kind of personality they're attracted to!
Listen up kiddos, if your mom or dad ever asks to wash your hair 1. be weirded out and 2. know it's a ploy to open up and keep those secrets locked!

*EDIT: I realize that I spelled hear wrong. I am embarrassed.

Modern Family 5x17 "Other People's Children" (A Gif Hightlight)

I don't know why I didn't think of this before...Modern Family is the perfect show to gif highlight!

Let me just start by saying that anytime Adam DeVine is on the show we know it's gonna be funny. He is so great; I wish he was in every episode.

Andy wants to give his girlfriend a really cool anniversary present (why not a homemade video? because that is really cool!), so he and Phil team up and it's basically a match made in heaven.
I thought you were gonna watch the game with me?
Too bad this means that Phil and Jay won't be able to watch the game together, which leaves Luke with Jay for the day.

Haley, who has a hot date, walks in on Phil and Adam making their video and starts making fun of them. We all know she has a thing for Adam though!
Most of us have this reaction while dress shopping.
Claire and Gloria take Lily dress shopping because she is going to be the flower girl for Cam and Mitch's wedding and they don't want to see her dress. Claire and Gloria disagree on how to dress Lily. Can I just say that aside from Phil, Lily is my favorite character? She is absolutely hilarious! I love Gloria and Cam a whole lot too, but she has a real gift with that apathetic style of her line delivery.

Jay takes Luke to the garage for some lessons on manhood that Phil couldn't give him, I suppose. Everything from woodshop to how to attract the ladies was included. I think Jay is still hoping for the perfect son, and he still has wisdom to impart on anyone who will listen.

Now to the "cultured bunch", turns out even the smartest members of the family are intimidated by the brains of the group: Alex and Manny. I have to admit, Alex is the most annoying character ever. This storyline was not doing it for me this week.

Phil and Andy are still enjoying themselves making a love film. Maybe Phil should be a director instead of a Real Estate agent. I would go see this movie, maybe.

Like cliche romcom clockwork, Haley realizes she's fallen for the good guy when she helps him act out a scene for his movie.

Turns out Alex makes the rest of the cultured bunch feel like idiots...even Manny. If only Luke were at the museum with them...

Haley's lunch date finally picks her up in time for dinner, just as Andy and Phil finish their movie. But wait! Is there time to make another one??

It's runaway bride!

Back at the mall, Gloria makes Claire try on a wedding dress (because she has never worn one) and in the process they lose Lily.

It turns out that Lily just wants to dress like Belle for her Daddies' wedding. And who can blame her? Belle is by far the best Disney princess.

No room for nerds over here!

So Mitch, Cam, and Manny all feel like idiots when they're with Alex. And Alex is tired of having to dumb herself down to hang out with them. Really? Ugh. This sounds like a fun bunch!

I would rather see this version of Gravity.
Back to people I would love to hang out with...Andy and Phil make their version of Gravity and Haley looks on lovingly because she told her date off for being a jerk. You go Glen Coco!

Haley finds Andy endearing. Why? Alex points out it might be because he and Phil are so much alike. Great Alex! Way to ruin the chances at this relationship! I was hoping to see more of Andy!

Gif Highlight: Chuck 1x08 "Chuck vs. the Truth"

If you have never seen the show Chuck you are truly missing out on life--everything about it is totally wonderful. It's a show about a Buy More (like Best Buy) employee who's brain is accidentally downloaded with all of our government's secrets, sounds kinda weird right? NO, IT'S THE GREATEST. There's plenty of comedy, drama, romance, and action; not to mention Zachary Levi is totally adorkable (though he prefers the term nerd) and the rest of the cast is amazing as well. In this post, I'm highlighting one of my favorite episodes from the first season where Chuck, Sarah, and Casey get infected with a lethal truth serum while trying to save Chuck's sister (this ep also includes a guest appearance by Rachel Bilson!)
Fake hookups in closets keep fake romances alive.

Chuck is in love with his handler, CIA agent Sarah Walker, who he is in a fake relationship with so she can keep an eye on him at all times. Chuck has a hard time keeping his feelings for her at bay. She works at the Wienerlicious across the street.

Real Geek Squad employees are not this cute.

Chuck meets a cute girl named Lou who needs her phone fixed. They flirt. There are prospects of a real relationship here.

It'd be a real shame if the Chuck made you sick! Witty, Lou.
Chuck fixes Lou's phone. She names a sandwich after him. Everything's going great until Chuck's "girlfriend" Sarah comes to see him. Lou doesn't like to be played.

not really do it...you know.
In fake relationship land, Sarah decides that she and Chuck need to spend the night together to protect their cover. This sends Chuck into an awkward rambling spiral.

This is how a Nerd Herder gears up for sexy time.

Sarah comes over in a slinky little gown and they fight because Chuck can't help but expect more than a night of literally sleeping together. Chuck is tired of this fake relationship with Sarah. He wants a real one.

I'm just being professional!

real/ fake relationship rule #1: never go to bed angry!

Words taste like peaches.

Ellie barges into Chuck's room and blurts out anything and everything on her mind. This is weird behavior. Captain Awesome comes in shirtless (thank you) and pulls her out so Chuck and Sarah can have their alone time. (haha, okay)
How many guys can say they've landed a helicopter and saved the lives of innocent people?
It turns out that Ellie was infected by a lethal truth serum by this Military secrets dealer Riordan Payne. While trying to get the antidote to save her, Chuck, Sarah, and Casey all get infected. And they have no idea where to find more antidotes.

Chuck and the gang find Riordan's "lab" and some more antidotes, but not before the we get to witness the hilarious affects the truth serum has on all three of them to the musical stylings of Toxic by Britney Spears.
The gang stops Riordan and gets the antidote, but before they take it, Chuck decides to take this opportunity to see whether or not Sarah has any real feelings for him. She doesn't...it's all just a cover.
Sad Chuck disguises his pain with humor.

Sad Sarah does not use humor as a coping mechanism.

Chuck breaks off the cover relationship with Sarah so he can have a real relationship with Lou--a girl who actually likes him. Turns out (surprise, surprise) Sarah was trained to withstand Pentothal (the truth serum), so she lied to Chuck about her feelings for him. She looks on their coffee date with despair before she goes back inside to make more wieners.

*The complete series (five seasons) is on Netflix. Check it out!
*And I've almost figured out the format thing. Bear with me. For some reason it's the hardest thing ever.
